Turn off Google Chromecast completely – this is how it works
The Google Chromecast cannot be switched off directly on the stick because it does not have a power button. The button on the stick is just a reset button that can be pressed in the event of errors or malfunctions. The device is designed so that it is always in standby mode so that you can start content directly on the television via your smartphone or tablet – without switching on the stick or the TV.
However, to switch off the stick completely, you have to disconnect the power supply from the power supply.
